The day that many were waiting for has finally arrived: Apple has presented the new iPhone 13 series, made up of a total of four different devices: the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, and the iPhone 13 Mini. It is a generation that is based on last year’s iPhone 12 series and provides interesting improvements with the aim of continuing to be the best-selling high-end smartphones in the world, and trying to surpass the Android smartphone models of high-end that currently lead the catalogs of firms such as Xiaomi, Samsung, OPPO or OnePlus.

You have to look very closely to find differences between the new iPhone 13 and last year’s iPhone 12. And it is that one more year, Apple continues to bet on a conservative design, which maintains the notch as a differential sign, and the rear cameras arranged inside a square module.
Apple continues to use metal and glass to build the chassis of its smartphones. In that sense, only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a stainless steel chassis; the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are made of aluminum.
Another aspect that has not changed is the variety of sizes, as Apple has wanted to offer four different models for all types of pockets, ranging from the 6.1 inches of the iPhone 13 Mini to the 6.7 inches of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 share the same screen diagonal, 6.1 inches.
The main novelty in this regard is the inclusion of a ProMotion screen with a variable refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which can be reduced to 10 Hertz depending on the content displayed on the screen. Only the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have this addition, while the rest are satisfied with 60-hertz screens. All of them, yes, make use of OLED technology.
Another important change with respect to previous models is found in the notch. Despite still being built into the top of the screen, intended to house the selfie camera and Face ID system, the notch size has been reduced for the first time since it was introduced alongside the iPhone X. Now, the notch is slightly narrower but slightly higher than previous models.
In terms of specifications, each and every one of the models come with the Apple A15 Bionic chip inside, manufactured in a 5-nanometer TSMC format, and with improved performance compared to the A14 Bionic of the iPhone 12 thanks, among others things, to its 15 million transistors, and to the quad-core GPU. Of course, there is no lack of 5G connectivity, MagSafe wireless charging, and cable charging, which for another year remains via the Lightning connector.
Another substantial change is present in the storage of the new iPhone: Apple has finally eliminated the configuration of 64 GB of internal memory, going to adopt 128 GB as a minimum amount. In addition, for the first time, 1TB internal storage is offered on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Price of the iPhone 13 and when they can be bought
The iPhone 13 can be reserved starting this month. The price will depend on the configuration chosen.
The iPhone 13 Mini starts at $ 699 or 809 euros, while the “normal” version is priced at $ 799 or 909 euros.
For their part, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have prices that start from 999 and 1,099 dollars in the United States respectively, and from 1,159 or 1,259 euros in Spain.
Best Android alternatives to iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 is a good smartphone, there is no doubt about that. And they will most likely be a sales success over the next few months.
